Team Building...in the snow!

Snow or shine, it's always the right time for Team Building activities!
If the snow has made you want to climb a mountain, a weekend hiking trip in Italy is the right team building activity to arrange for your guests!

We can be of service if you wish to plan a business meeting in Italy for either a day or for an entire weekend. And why not add some gourmet pit-stops? We can organize a gourmet treasure hunt in a local town near a mountain resort in Italy as part of a winter business trip where you and your guests play with flavors and aromas of the these small mountain towns of Italy. The winter team building meetings take place in zones famous for certain culinary products and is sure to satisfy lovers of cured meats, breads and cheese!

If the city remains your preferred setting, why not arrange a gourmet treasure hunt in Tuscany? Florence may be the ideal "battleground" where among wine bars, soup houses and hot chocolate cafés will warm your guests body and soul!

Le Baccanti's charity events in America

Every year since 2010, Filippo Bartolotta takes Le Baccanti to America to facilitate charity dinners and events organized by Alice Waters, Joan Nathan and José Andrés with a team of Italian food & beverage professionals.

Forty famous chefs from Washington, New York, Philadelphia, Martha's Vineyard, New Orleans, from France and Italy, led charity dinners and events across 20 venues in Washington DC.
In 2012, More than 200,000 dollars were collected and donated to two American non-profit organizations D.C. Central Kitchen and Martha's Table, which deal with at-risk socio-economic American cities, providing them with meals and basic necessities. The two main events, Saturday and Sunday Night Sips, were a huge a success! The gourmet team from Italy was present for the third year in a row thanks to the American roadshow Italy At Your Table organized by The Baccanti.

Filippo Bartolotta has coordinated events with forty chefs together with a shipped selection of Italian wines, which in 2012 were represented by Arnaldo Caprai in Montefalco (Sagrantino alert!) and Graziano Pra in Amarone. Past editions of Italy at Your Table led Filippo to conduct master classes and events throughout the United States. In addition to these events, Filippo was also hosted by The White House chefs along with Alice Waters, José Andres and Joan Nathan to talk about nutrition and the value of the Mediterranean diet.
On the same trip, Filippo, the chefs and wine producers were invited by Nycci Nellis, radio host of "Foodie & The Beast" to be featured in the January 22 episode to talk about Italian wines and discuss their presence in Washington.

Team building at the Met in New York!

Metropolitan Museum of New York

Organizing events in unforgettable atmospheres is our job and choosing the best location ... it's a great privilege! So it was when we organized a dinner party for selected guests, 40 members of the Metropolitan Museum in New York for the sales promotion of some of the best Italian labels of wine, gourmet foods and art.

The preparation took a few months, but we managed to organize an evening that will remain as the most exciting event of our Italy America Roadshow 2011 tour!

Here were the protagonists:
Luciano Zazzeri, chef of the restaurant La Pineta
Filippo Bartolotta, our grapetrotter and presenter, appointed to lead a tasting of 12 incredible wines and products of excellence made by Italian food artisans!
We partnered with chef Fred Sabo and sommelier Thierry Pradines for the week of preparation before the event took place in an atmosphere of gracious hospitality. The entire staff was ready to listen to our suggestions and requests with Luciano Zazzeri.
It all started with a dinner on the Roof Terrace at the MET where 40 lucky members of the Museum managed to win the event at an auction. The auction was served dinner created by Luciano Zazzeri and combined with 12 of our featured wines from the Italy America RoadShow.
Throughout the month, Luciano Zazzeri had also organized a dinner event in the Trustees Dining Room at the MET together with the kitchen staff and Fred Sabo the week before the VIP event.

The success of the evening, the joy of Luciano and the enthusiasm of the guests was what gave us the energy to charge through future stages of the RoadShow, which took us to travel America far and wide. We met some of the most famous chefs of America, many wine collectors and gourmet food purveyors, as well as the heart of Americans.

The best time to organize a team building event in Italy

When you decide to create a corporate event and include team building activities, if you don't have precise constraints on the agenda, there are a few considerations:

1. The goals you want to achieve with the team building activities at your corporate event
If you are launching a new product on the market and you want to motivate your sales force, the period in which you schedule your team building should closely tied to product launch schedule. By doing so, you prepare your staff organically with team building activities that rely heavily on challenge and team spirit to the achievement of the objective.
If you want to reward a work group and motivate them before closing the season, this would also be the ideal time.

At these times you can pick and choose among many team building activities:
Gourmet Team Building Orienteering
Team Building gourmet treasure hunts in the city
Team Building on horseback

2. Theme of team building activities
If you want to create a precise theme team building activity, your corporate event should be planned in most other periods that evoke the season of the event.

Examples:
From September to mid-October, you can tie team building activities to wine
Team Building Wine Challenge in a prestigious Italian winery
Team building Make your Own Wine
Aperitif Team Building
Wine Trivia Challenge
Team Building in Chianti Classico

From mid-October to December, the theme could involve olive oil!
Team building challenge: Olive Oil Tasting and Trivia

During the winter it will be easier to entice your guests by inviting them to compete in the kitchen with activities such as:
Pasta Making Team Building
Team Building Top-Chef Challenge

3. Budget for building corporate event team building activities
Individual budgets will be a key element to keep in mind when choosing the period for your corporate event and will influence the choice of team building activities. Unless you need to arrange a corporate Christmas dinner, we advise you to avoid the peak periods especially August, when it will be more difficult to have all participants available. Also, it will be more expensive to locate the best structure to accommodate your guests. From mid-autumn to mid-spring, it will be easier to select locations for your corporate event with a reasonable budget. By scheduling events in Italy during the non-peak travel season, that will allow you to invest more in specialized team building activities and additional services for attendees.
Of course there are exceptions like for example November in the Piedmont region. This is when the big truffle fairs and festivals take place making the region a high traveled zone with of course higher premiums on accommodation, etc. For further information on how to plan team building events in Italy, don’t hesitate to contact us!
